.tj is the Internet country code top-level domain name (ccTLD) for Tajikistan

Officially known as the Republic of Tajikistan, a mountainous landlocked country in Central Asia. It is bordered by Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Kyrgyzstan and the People's Republic of China. Tajikistan is also found adjacent to Kashmir, but it is seperated by the Wakhan Corridor. The official language is Tajiki (very similar to Persian).

The .tj domain name for Tajikistan was introduced in 1995 and it is operated and sponsored by the Information Technology Center. The domain's intended use is for entities connected with Tajikistan and it also gets some use there since residents receive priority in domain disputes. However, there are no registration restrictions. Domain name registrations are made at a first-come-first-serve basis.
